| CHAMPION TAKES CLASS WIN AND FIGHTING THIRD OVERALL ON HUMBERSIDE RALLY |

| Ryan Champion took a superb class win and a strong third overall on last weekend's Whitby based North Humberside Forest Rally. Driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution supported by Netting Services, Champion took a comfortable class victory in his local North Yorkshire Forests, finishing ahead of many of the World Championship specification cars in his much less modified Mitsubishi. |

| Partner for the first time in the co-driver's seat by Jemma Bellingham, Champion was immediately on the pace in the first of six forest stages in a car he had not competed in before. Despite a stage three puncture and damaged rear suspension on the final test the Champion's of Castleton Mitsubishi was close to the top of the time sheets throughout the day competing with cars worth over ten times the value. Champion said, "It's a great result for us. Realistically there was no way we could win overall today and I would have been happy with a top five finish overall so to get third is great." |

A lack of sponsorship is likely to keep Champion out of the British Rally Championship this year but he is still determined to compete. "I'd really like to be out on the British Championship but it just doesn't look like it will happen," commented Champion, runner up in the British Championship in 2006. "Hopefully I'll compete on a few more events this year though and it looks like my next event will be in Barbados as the organisers have offered a great deal to go and compete there. I contested Rally Barbados a few years ago and there is such a fantastic atmosphere around the event.
Champion will be partnered in the Caribbean by regular co driver, Craig Thorley again in a Mitsubishi whilst Jemma Bellingham will be competing with Whitby driver Nick Cook in his Ford Escort. The two day event starts in the island's capital Bridgetown on May 31st.
